The lido, an open-air swimming pool in Zwolle, is a listed building dating back to 1934, designed by architect and structural engineer J.G. Wiebenga, and has been entirely renovated.
The renovation work entailed technical restoration, enhancing
the period qualities, functional improvements and making the

The symmetry in the original design has been restored: the lido comprised two identical sections, one for men and one for women, mirrored along an imaginary axis. New diving platforms have been erected by the deep, women's pools, following Wiebenga's original design, to replace the ones that were demolished.
The tribunes and an observation post have been redesigned to conform to the symmetry of the lido. The original facilities buildings and changing cubicles have been restored and extra facility spaces added under the existing roofing.
