Princess Beatrix opens Museumkwartier
Today Princess Beatrix opened the Museumkwartier in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The Princess tied two ribbons together as a symbol of the collaboration between Het Noordbrabants Museum and the Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch.
Escorted by both directors De Mooij and Pingen, the Princess made a tour of the new museum complex. In the central passageway Hubert-Jan Henket and Janneke Bierman explained the design to the Princess. The company visited the opening exhibitions with work by Marc Mulders and Ted Noten.
Tonight the opening of Het Noordbrabants Museum and the Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch will be celebrated in the new Brabantzaal in the Museumkwartier.
As of 12.00 on Saturday 25 May the Museumkwartier is open to the public. There is no admission charge on the opening day. There was no lack of publicity from the media. Below are a number of links, more reviews can be found in the news report of 22 May 2013.
